Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] There are students for whom the risk of dispersion is very high, and their relationship with the school and with the educational tasks requested by it appears seriously compromised. These are boys and girls who have acquired, over time, a high rate of rejection and intolerance towards school life, often combined with a high degree of demotivation. These experiences generally have as a consequence a strong indifference towards the demands of the school, a closure in one's own world, a calling oneself, in fact, 'outside', through prolonged absences and daily challenges towards teachers and companions. In the face of these phenomena of serious scholastic dispersion, occasional initiatives are almost always ineffective and it is necessary to implement system interventions with a strong educational value. This is the basic assumption that animated the Centra La Scuola project, promoted and supported by the Regional School Office of Lombardy in the 2012-2013 school year. There were several peculiarities: the characteristics of the recipients, the number of schools involved, the enhancement of consolidated experiences already present in the territory, the monitoring carried out in order to define a generalizable response. The volume intends to present the reasons, the tools, the project actions and the intervention models implemented; it also wants to highlight what a complex and articulated project can teach for the construction of increasingly integrated prevention interventions between the school system, the social system and families. To get out of the feeling of powerlessness and the risk of delegating, we need to revive pedagogical planning. The book aims to serve this purpose by being a tool for reflection and a sign of viable paths for teachers, educators, school administrators, service managers and political decision makers.
