Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Utopias are such until they remain undecidable, and therefore unfulfilled. Modal devices are concretely mixed: mind and paradigm, image and representation, technical-figural and volitional-affective projection, geographical imagination and political imagination, design and project, abstract form and concrete historical function, purpose and effectiveness, rationality, organization, prefiguration, operation. Utopia is a certain imperfect ontological mode, the bearer of a critical-ironic interrogation of existence, based on the paradox and the incongruent. The Utopia of Thomas More is of this nature.
