Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Through the publication of two unpublished documents, the essay explores the events of the decoration of the small church of Santa Maria del Bosco in Cascina Gatti, a hamlet of Sesto San Giovanni (MI), created by the brothers Gregorio and Ambrogio Zavattari. At the same time, the role of Gregory in the cycle of frescoes with Stories by Teodolinda of the Cathedral of Monza is revalued and more generally in the important workshop of late-Gothic Lombard painters headed by Franceschino. Finally, some advanced attributions in favor of the artist have been rediscovered, as in the case of the fresco with Santa Caterina of the church of Sant'Apollinare in Cornaredo, to be traced back to the workshop of Michelino da Besozzo, perhaps the young Cristoforo Moretti
