Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Since the first months of 2020, the anthropological community has questioned the cultural and social impact of the pandemic and the exceptional measures introduced to combat it. This article contributes to the debate by exploring how the experience of lockdown is linked to the meaning of living; to the changed sense of place of one's place of residence and one's home. In particular, it looks at the processes of signification of
urban and rural space and the relationship between these and the perception of
own home. In doing so, the article expands and completes the journey begun above
this magazine in the pages of the Public Health Diary focused on the topic of living
in the context of contemporary Italian urbanism
