Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Descartes is looking for a universal method that makes human knowledge secure in whatever field it applies to and finds it in Mathesis Universalis, which extends intuition and mathematical argumentation to different fields of knowledge. The difficulties that arise in the definition of Mathesis make it impossible to complete the Cartesian project, which stops at the XXI rule
