Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The result of the collaboration between the Globus et Locus Association and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, the volume Brescia and the glocal challenge (edited by Marco Caselli, Vincenzo Cesareo, Valerio Corradi and Mario Taccolini) presents the results of a path of reflection and research on the themes of 'glocalism' taking the city of Brescia and its territory as the object of study.
The topics covered are many and make up an analysis of the dynamics and problems of the Brescia context, taking into account its richness and complexity. The authors, professors of the Catholic University and authoritative exponents of local civil society, reflect from a glocal perspective on phenomena, processes and challenges concerning five fundamental macro-areas: Politics and culture, Territorial networks and human mobility, Economy and finance, Services to person and third sector, school, university and job training. The essays are not limited to the analysis of what exists but, in a perspective and design vision, formulate proposals that it is hoped will become the subject of extensive discussion, stimulating political and cultural debate on the future of the city.
