Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In Larsson the metaphor of the sea serves to describe his spiritual evolution both as a man and as a writer. At the beginning of the story he cites the words with which he himself described his literary debut in Sweden, Splitter ("Relitti", 1980, a collection of short stories): "Calm gives us nausea and we desire storms. They blinded us, but they made us feel alive. Between despair and indifference, we try to raise hurricanes within us "; at the end of Logbook instead - last page - it closes citing these words of the Swedish poet and writer Harry Martinson (Nobel Prize for Literature in 1974 ed): «Our ideal should not be the calm, which can transform the sea into a swamp; nor the hurricane, but the great strong trade wind, full of impetus and joy, healthy and vital: an eternal and constant breath of air ". It seems the description of what psychologists would say a perfectly successful emotional development.
