Abstract

The paper investigates “close relationships” between persons that establish strong bonds of solidarity in a different way from the scheme of nonmarital partnerships. After regulatory proposals which, over time, remained ignored, the Author looks into the current framework to hypothesize a minimum threshold of protection for “close relationships”. The issue is to clarify the constitutional basis, as well as the terms and limits, to recognize such relational situations.
