Given a highly diverse scenario of the labor market, increasingly characterized by high flexibility, in which moments of work and not working alternate with increasing frequency, this book questions the meaning and application of two of the best known assessment tools competencies. The main objective is to raise the question of the potential and limits of self and hetero-assessment of competencies that have become the common language of the personal and professional development of companies, universities, workers and students. Considering the increasingly intense turbulence in the labor market, these processes should be part of the educational and professional curriculum of all workers and they should be provided repeatedly throughout their career.
