Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Introduction and annotated translation of the dramatic work Svapnavāsavadatta by Bhāsa, the first great master of Indian theater (II-III century BC). In the appendix, an annotated translation of a version (Kathāsaritsāgara iii, 1-2) of the story of Udayana and Vāsavadattā which provided material for the drama.
