Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article analyzes the historical context in which Bernardo d'Aosta worked, both in reference to his participation in an imperial placitous with the young Henry IV, and in relation to his presence in Novara in the Benedictine monastery of San Lorenzo. The analysis of the text of Life, betrayed by a Novara code, allows us to know the themes of his preaching in the diocesan territory, among which the struggle against usury stood out.
