Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution starts from the text of Scabini and Donati of 1988 and analyzes the research conducted by the University center and family research on the young adult's family and summarized in the volume by Scabini et al. of 2006 highlighting in particular the gender and generation differences that emerged then. The results of that time are compared with those of a recent research on the financial well-being of young adults in which the influences of the paternal and maternal bond on the various dimensions of financial well-being have been tested. Furthermore, the housing conditions of the young (at home / away from home) were taken into consideration to check whether leaving their parents' homes influenced the economic well-being and perceptions of family ties. The data shows. The results show continuity with what emerged in previous research, except for the differences between father and mother in the evaluation of their relationship, which are now similar with regards to aspects of communication. With regard to financial well-being, the paternal and maternal relationship has different influences on specific dimensions of financial well-being that fade when compared to each other.
