Abstract
In this paper, we present an Ageing-Aware Stochastic Optimal Power Flow in presence of Demand Response and Energy Storage Systems (ESSs). A proper use of these latter is fundamental in order to achieve high performance during their whole lifetime. For this reason, we consider a degradation model for the ESSs in the optimization problem. In this way, it is possible to optimize network management by taking into account ageing effects of the ESSs and maximize their lifetime. In order to deal with network uncertainties, we solve a stochastic optimization problem using a scenario approach which allows to provide a-priori level of constraint satisfaction. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is tested by performing simulations on IEEE 14 bus.
