Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The joint reading and analysis of data from the Barometer of Hate and Map of Intolerance 201920 projects, allow to conduct some general considerations at the sociological level. In terms of socio-communicative dynamics and the use of social media, for example, both projects highlight common characteristics in the use of Twitter. First of all, the very negative general tone is in line with what was also found for the 2019 Intolerance Map and, in particular, with the trend highlighted by the introduction of the aggression scale. This therefore allows on the one hand to be able to compare these tweets with those of the Map and on the other hand to better understand the nuances of aggression and the different tones used, an understanding that is very necessary especially considering the changes underway in the online hate field.
