Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume - in a perspective that opens up to archival documents, testimonies of treatises, new investigations, reinterpretations, insights - proposes profiles of musicians, repertoires, musical chapels and confraternities. An itinerary of Padan history and geography, which finds in the places ( Milan, Brescia, Mantua, Voghera, but also Split and Krakow), in the polyphonic production (passions, vespers, spiritual dramas, motets), also not exclusively sacred (instrumental pieces, various collections), in the contribution of famous protagonists (Giovanni Matteo Asola , Biagio Marini, Giovanni Legrenzi, Giacomo Antonio Perti) and of other appreciable composers (Nicola Parma, Federico Malgarini, Claudia Rusca) the most consistent results, for quality of research and variety of approach.
