Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] By carefully observing the international panorama of Child and Family Welfare, or the set of socio-educational services aimed at boys and girls, adolescents and vulnerable families, it is possible to grasp a series of recurrent and transversal elements that are emerging as a mature fruit of twenty years of exchanges and shared reflections, thanks to the influence of the Convention on the Rights of the Childhood and Adolescence of the United Nations of 1989 (CRC) and to the policies of support for integration promoted by the European Union. The beating heart of this slow but radical transformation of work with children, young people and vulnerable families is the adoption of a rights-based approach, in particular those established by the CRC, whose articles can also be translated into social policy objectives , of pedagogical and socio-educational intervention and can constitute a code of ethics for social workers. The volume aims to give an overall view of the new directions of intervention experienced on one's own skin (and on the skin of one's users) by professionals in child, youth and family care (educators, social assistants, psychologists, educationalists), so that they can acquire awareness, design competence, reflexive stimuli and transformative orientations of one's daily practices.
