Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In the thought of Benedikt Franz Xavier von Baader (1765-1841), German philosopher and theologian, both elements of Catholic theology and themes belonging to alchemy, the cabal, parapsychology, astrology and esoteric medicine came together. The characteristic theme of his systematic and unconventional reflection, which he often called "erotic philosophy", is love: the human being is understood as a man of desire, not as a rational or political being. Among his most significant works is the collection "Fermenta cognitionis" (11823-25).
