Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Giancarlo Buzzi (1929-2015) is an original figure in the Italian cultural panorama. Like many of his contemporaries, he combined literary activity with that of executive, working for companies such as Pirelli, Olivetti and Mondadori. This contamination between different spheres of experience is reflected in all his writing: from the novels Il senatore (1958) and L'amore mio italiano (1963) to the advertising essay La tigre domestica (1964), which show the transformations of a twentieth century in balance between enthusiasm for the economic miracle and perplexity towards neocapitalism, up to Impigo of Rigo (1997) and Dell'amore (2004), where the story intertwines with speculative interests. «Being right being wrong» is a quote from his most important book, Isabella of the waters (1967-1977), and summarizes the meaning of a research path conducted between linguistic experiments and metaphysical questions.
