Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Authority, power and spirit are three categories that are differently understood and articulated. In the development of capitalism models and in the various forms of leadership, the transcendent dimension (evoked by authority) retreats in favor of the immanent one (which marks power), however leaving crucial questions unresolved for organizations and the socio-economic development model. economic, in their (essential) connections with the anthropological dimension that the term 'spirit', in the Weberian sense, manifests.
The text traces the evolution of management models in companies within the different forms of capitalism around three temporal passages: the dawn of modern Western capitalism, the transformations that took place in the 1900s and above all at the beginning of the 21st century with the capitalism of platforms, the possible alternatives towards a new spirit of capitalism. In these passages, the 'authority-power' articulation, although apparently irrelevant, actually survives by highlighting the crucial question of the reference to a 'spiritual' dimension that concerns organized forms.
