Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution presents a case study on the development of autonomy in learning Italian L2. The survey, carried out at the Center for Self-learning (CAP) of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, allowed for an in-depth study of the role and effectiveness of self-learning in a plurilingual and pluricultural perspective, considered as one of the pillars of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, teaching, assessment – Companion Volume (2018).
After a brief theoretical introduction on the concept of autonomy in language learning and on the centrality of the concept of plurilingualism and pluriculturalism in the European context, the profile of the observed learners will be presented in order to arrive at the analysis of the data collected during the linguistic counseling sessions
The commentary on the results found highlights the critical points encountered and, at the same time, offers educational proposals aimed at helping learners become more aware in the study of the Italian language and in their self-assessment. The experience also allows to deepen the dimension of plurilingual and pluricultural education in the context of higher education learning.
