Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The paper explores the topic of individual skills that can be used by graduates in the job search phase, with particular attention to the dimensions of entrepreneurship, effectiveness in the use of different research channels, adaptive availability with respect to the various requests coming from the market. The basic question that is posed in the analysis is linked to the effectiveness on the career path and on the satisfaction of young graduates, to the role played by individual activation from the stage of the study path, to the use and effectiveness of the channels search for the first job. To answer the research questions, the paper uses original information drawn from a broader survey of a sample of about 5800 graduates interviewed three years after graduation. Through an analysis of multiple correspondences, the factors that describe the degree of entrepreneurship of young graduates are identified, so as to highlight the main dimensions along which they move. At the same time, the occupational performance of graduates is assessed on the basis of a series of basic sociographic variables (gender, educational qualifications and position in the parents' profession, geographical area of residence, etc.), relative to the chosen university path (degree course, university of enrollment, voting and regularity in studies, etc.) and work and training experiences completed during university studies (internships, work experience, study abroad, etc.). The results of the analyzes make it possible to highlight the effective impact in employment terms of the "entrepreneurial" attitudes of young Italian graduates, the effectiveness and strategies of use of the different research channels, the degree of adaptability to the labor market.
