Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume includes the extended texts of the contributions presented in the X Symposium "Parasite defense in the food industries and food protection", held in Piacenza on 20-22 September 2017, by Prof. Emanuele Mazzoni and Rinaldo Nicoli Aldini. This volume is the tenth in a series relating to the five-year symposia held at the Piacenza campus of the Catholic University, initiated by Prof. Giorgio Domenichini in 1972 and continued (after the first five editions he edited) by his successor Prof. Piero Cravedi, up to and including the ninth edition. Each symposium saw the active participation of university professors and researchers in the sector, exponents of the food industry, heads of public bodies in charge of control, workers in the disinfestation sector, etc.
