Abstract

The asymptotic behavior and exponential stability for a transmission problem in thermoelasticity was presented. A material having thermoelastic properties over one part while the other part was indifferent to the change of temperature was considered for showing the stability results. Results showed that the solution of a semilinear transmission problem between the elastic and a thermodynamic material decayed exponentially to zero.
