Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Separation and divorce are critical events that affect all areas of life: the individual, relational, family, work and economic, necessitating a reorganization and redefinition of oneself, of one's roles and family boundaries. These events are also complex because they constitute an "ambiguous loss", understood as the need to maintain and continue the parental bond beyond the breakdown of the couple bond. The tasks and challenges that separated / divorced parents face are not just personal and family, but also social and community. To help and support these challenges, numerous associations of separated parents were born, which today are widespread throughout the country; they are characterized as places of generation and promotion of family solidarity. The present study involves separated / divorced parents who have decided to join associations addressed to them. The study aims to describe the sample according to some of its socio-structural features (for example, socio-economic status, geographical origin, etc.), in order to outline a profile of parents who choose to join the associations. It also aims to analyze the relationship between the degree of support parents feel they receive from the association and their state of well-being, measured across multiple dimensions.
