Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution to the 8th conference promoted by the Italian Ecclesiastical Museums Association at the Tridentine Diocesan Museum, held in October 2011, deals with the delicate and important theme of education in the ecclesiastical museum by carrying it out and ordering it starting from the historical connotations that characterize the origin itself of the museum in its intrinsic links with the historical-religious reading descending from the many works coming from the ecclesiastical sphere. He also recalls the constitutive significance of diocesan museums profoundly linked to the history of the territory, and the turning point impressed by the Second Vatican Council, as well as the action and thought of Pope Paul VI that re-signifies the contribution of art to the life of men by tracing the essential aspects of experience and re-launching unitary tension in research. The educational actions of the ecclesiastical museum are based on the work of scientific cataloging and the process of ongoing formation for an ever more conscious mediation of the artistic heritage to all audiences.
