Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution, which reports some of the issues addressed in the 2020 Summer School in Piateda, presents some reflections on the relationship between Archeology and Landscape, trying to focus attention on the specific contribution of the discipline and of archaeological excavation in the correct reconstruction of this context. The impact of this methodological approach on the analysis of some highland contexts and ancient mining landscapes and on the possible implications of some approximate or equivocal research directions in the "perception" of the ancient on local communities and on contemporary thought is then illustrated. On the other hand, it should be noted that archeology is able, possessing adequate methods and tools, to respond with the data of its research to the drifts of a collective memory which, "empty" of scientific data, often becomes the engine of incorrect addresses and tendentious repercussions .
