Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] On the basis of the unpublished documentation found during a research conducted in the Notarial Fund of the State Archives of Milan, the essay traces the biographical profile of the magister Giovanni Antonio Tatti, a goldsmith from Varese active from the second half of the fifteenth century, father of the painter Francesco Tatti, who, like the parent, seems initially to be a goldsmith. In the text, moreover, the relationship of kinship with the workshop of the Campanigo painters is explained.
