Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution brings together in strict chronological order the regestas of a series of documents useful for reconstructing a context for wooden sculpture in Vigevano between 1490 and 1527. Specifically, documents relating to the carvers and painters active in the city and to some important altarpieces are published. sculpted and painted wood from Vigevano, favoring unpublished archive testimonies. In particular, all the documents relating to the painter Bernardino Ferrari and those certainly referable to his family have been collected.
