The essay deals with the reception of Andrea Zanzotto’s poetry in France. It then dwells on Philippe Di Meo’s work, as a critic and a translator. Finally, it analyses a representative selection of Di Meo’s translations – across almost the whole of Zanzotto’s works – and outlines its fundamental approach.
