Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] 'family custody of minors is a widespread intervention in many parts of the world and research has largely taken place. However, for a long time the biological children of foster families remained relegated to the background, despite their right to participate in an experience that strongly affects their lives and in which they play an important role. The article presents the results of a qualitative research involving 15 foster parents and 14 foster parents, aimed at exploring the experience of the foster carers, highlighting the positive and negative aspects, to draw from their opinions and points of view useful indications for foster parents, for entrusted children and for the operators involved. The data show that the brothers feel involved in the role of caregiver and therefore they would need to be recognized and accompanied, although this role is hardly recognized by the operators. So how do you set up a practice that supports them in their experience?
