Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The article discusses and criticizes and theses defended by C.A. Viano in his volume "Laity on his knees" and tries to highlight how the very notion of secularism can have many meanings, some of which would be compatible with religious perspectives and with a rational and metaphysical knowledge, respectful of different and non-totalitarian positions.
