Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The hospital, essential in the provision of specialist care for acute patients, varies in type and management, including public, private and accredited facilities. The categorization includes Hospitals, Hospitals, University Hospitals, Mixed Hospitals, IRCCS, classified hospitals and accredited private institutes. These centers must guarantee essential services such as emergency room, hospitalization, operators, diagnostics, and pharmacy, following organizational models that favor integration between operational units. Ministerial Decree 70/2015 emphasizes hospital-community integration, proposing a reorganization to optimize care effectiveness and contain costs.
