Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] If the heart is the main pump of the arterial system, the foot is the main pump of the venous system: it is a complex and very robust structure. Movement represents the key to understanding our new perspective: hemodynamic anatomy. A phrase that may seem like a contradiction in terms: "to make dynamic a static matter par excellence". But this is the only possible perspective: the venous anatomy is the result of the needs of the movement of the lower limbs. The anatomy has changed, has adapted to new demands: those of the "movement".
