Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The data collected in the stratigraphic excavations (1993-2014) conducted at the site of the Guardamonte castle (AL-PV), frequented from the Neolithic to the Romanization, now allow to conduct structured research on different aspects of the production cycles, in a diachronic, contextual perspective. and ecological. Here we present the results achieved so far through the application of a study protocol of ceramic production which, while making use of multidisciplinary collaborations, was methodologically reasoned on the basis of purely archaeological instances. This protocol is divided into three lines of research, constantly integrated with each other: "ceramic study" (identification of supply basins through geological analyzes of the territory, analysis of shaping techniques, classification of ceramic bodies through self-functional study), "preliminary archaeometric analysis" (with SEM-EDS and XRD technologies) and “archeosperimental tests” (workability tests of local clays, furnace reconstructions, firing tests).
