Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Between the 18th and 19th centuries, Spanish society felt the need to progress, which led to a period of important development in the technical and scientific fields, which led to the massive introduction of new concepts. The objective of this work is to observe said lexical dynamics, based on the analysis of the Spanish lexicon of leather tanning, in its crucial step from crafts to industry. We will observe the trends in the adoption of neological procedures throughout the evolution of a technical field, highlighting their differences with respect to the scientific field.
