Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The school-work alternation and the redevelopment of urban suburbs are two very current themes in the national context, subject to huge investments in reflexive human and economic resources. The first is involving scholastic and entrepreneurial institutions in a rethinking of method to accompany young people on the path of growth in skills: the law n. 107/15, Reform of the national education and training system and delegation for the reorganization of the legislative provisions in force, in fact strengthens and regulates the obligation of alternating school-work in the second cycle of education - introduced by legislative decree n. 77 of 15 April 2005 - "in order to increase student job opportunities and orientation skills" (paragraph 33). The second is questioning the public world and the social private in the joint commitment to find qualified solutions of coexistence (Tacchi, 2004; Beretta, 2014): the establishment of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the security conditions and the degradation status of the cities and of their peripheries it denotes an increasing attention of the legislator and of the Italian order on the periphery theme. Although the juxtaposition of the two objects of analysis at first sight does not appear immediate, we are in both cases in the presence of new design challenges: alternation and suburbs are project spaces long left untilled and which, thanks to emergency signals to change the social step and the lay and ecclesial prescriptive commitment, have become focus of interest of the academic, scholastic, corporate and institutional world, public and private. With the school-work alternation we are in the presence of a project and existential periphery that jumps to attention in a youth and cultural environment in accelerated transformation.
