Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This work proposes an interpretative model of strategic alliances that uses two classification dimensions, aimed at making explicit, respectively, the interdependencies existing between the organizations involved and the object of the relationships. After having examined the individual categories of alliances identifiable along each dimension, it arrives at a two-dimensional map, showing its ability to frame the fundamental features and evolutionary paths of the different relational cases from a knowledge-based perspective. From the researcher's visual angle, the model here advanced intends to stimulate theoretical reflection on the various hypotheses of inter-organizational collaboration and on the evolution of the consequent relationships. In the corporate sphere, the actors-object map of the relations is proposed as a useful support in the organizational processes of sense-making that lead to shared mental representations of the basic connotations and of the potential, both of individual agreements and of the entire network of alliances of a ¿enterprise. On the strategic level, moreover, the approach outlined can be of help in the construction and management of a balanced alliance portfolio, inspired by a relational strategy able to reconcile the mere access to the knowledge of the partners with interactive learning content and joint generation of innovation.
