Abstract
Starting from an analysis of the strike for housing organised in September 1963, the essay
reconstructs the internal evolution of the Milan CISL, highlighting both the elements of
continuity and the first signs of the conflictual attitude that would have characterised this
union during the so-called ‘warm autumn’.
