Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In this essay, therefore, a "memory of the future" of the collaborative economy is proposed, starting from the analysis of the testimonies of its protagonists, made in 2014-15. some practices of collaborative economy had already been present in Italy for some years, but it is with the cover of the "economist" of March 2013 that the term "sharing economy" began to spread in the public debate and it was in the following two years that it was the peak of entrepreneurial initiative in this sector was recorded. The first mapping of collaborative platforms in Italy, carried out by Collaboriamo in 2014, registered 97 platforms, a figure that recorded strong growth in 2015 (118 platforms) and then stabilized since 2016, albeit with a high birth-mortality rate (in 2017 there were 125 platforms). The visions of our interviewees - understood as forms attributed to things to come that allow us to see our lives as part of a great collective journey towards a common destiny (Jedlowski 2017) - can be traced back to three main strands, which see the collaborative economy such as: sustainable economy; how to create new capital and convert between economic, social and cultural capital; new form of division of labor. The following paragraphs examine these three views and their implications. The final paragraph summarizes the tensions between the visions that have guided the spread of the collaborative economy and its implementation, with attention to the implications in terms of polycies, particular emphasis on the urban dimension as a privileged area of digital collaborative practices.
