[Autom. eng. transl.] The process of secularization has entrusted the choice of cultivating the religious question and the transcendent dimension of the human into the hands of the individual and his family context. However, the weakening of the social value assigned to this type of education, and the low weight assigned to spiritual and religious issues in the widespread culture and in the training courses of people, mean that the subjects find themselves actually lacking the suitable tools to be able to choose in a conscious way. The education of the religious aspect of man and of religious contents therefore finds itself, in Western contexts, to deal with many critical issues and in a sort of 'vicious' circle. to believe 'when the difficulty in understanding the terms and categories of the religious and the starting interpretation of reality is widespread, usually ignores a transcendent dimension. There is an absence of familiarity not so much with words, but with the meanings that support a specific religious experience and its expressive forms.
