Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Territorial assistance G. DAMIANI, M.B. MICHELAZZO For decades now, Territorial Assistance (also known as Primary Assistance) has been considered at the level international a cornerstone for achieving the ambitious goal of "health for all". The Primary Health Care approach is based on taking charge of a specific land community through a multisectoral action that addresses the determinants of health, on individual empowerment and community, and on assistance to the individual during all ages of life. Health systems that are built around no to this approach show better clinical results, increased efficiency, better quality of care and increased patient satisfaction. The choice of this type of setting therefore turns out to be a tool essential to address the epidemiological change that has been witnessing in recent decades, which sees a extension of the life expectancy of populations, but also a shift of burden from acute diseases to the chronic-degenerative ones: we are faced with a population on average older and carrier of logies / conditions that will accompany it throughout its life.
