Abstract

Father’s Agostino Gemelli activity as researcher and experimenter in the field of Applied Psychology during his long and prolific career is worldly known. Less known are the events referring to his Laboratory of Applied Psychology, operating at the Catholic University of Milan, in the years right after the Second World War. Still a prolific researcher and writer, less directly involved in activities of selection and orientation, in the Fifties father Gemelli appears mainly as a great popularizer and promoter of the excellences expressed by his Laboratory. The archive sources kept by the General Archive for the History of Catholic University allow us an unprecedented analysis about his founder’s last decade of professional activity.
