Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The recent excavation campaigns of the Catholic University of Milan on the site of Palazzo Pignano (CR) have made it possible to identify few but significant traces of mosaic decorations pertaining to a rustic complex dating back to the early imperial age, replaced in late ancient times by a large villa in pavilions. A large hole full of never used tiles was also found, dating back to the 5th century due to some ceramic fragments inside, which can be interpreted as the waste of the materials used by the workshop that was responsible for the creation of the mosaic cycle in the low imperial residence .
