Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This work constitutes an analysis of an empirical investigation which had the objective of reflecting on the subject of advance treatment declarations as perceived in nursing, trying to understand under which aspects, to what extent they can influence the assistance. nursing and how this could consequently evolve. In addition, some aspects concerning the training of nurses on a thematic basis, the nursing decision-making orientations in front of these documents, and the ethical and professional aspects that could change in the future were explored. . They were given a questionnaire divided in such a way as to investigate the main aspects of the research. From the empirical investigation emerges the favorable adhesion of nurses regarding advance treatment declarations, which are seen as a document that can be of help both for the patient and for the health worker in fragile and delicate moments of human existence. moreover, in order to improve the meaning of advance declarations, adequate training of nurses will be necessary, especially in the fields of clinical and medico-legal ethics, areas in which today they seem to be unprepared. It is also highlighted the importance of collaboration between team members to achieve a shared care planning for patients, or at least better define the possible role that the nurse could play in the process of drafting advance declarations. on the part of the patient, as a result of the evolution of the figure of the nurse also as an educator.
