Abstract
In the last few years, the nature of adoption has transformed significantly. The challenges that face adoptive families require proper preparation which starts from the pre-adoption period. \r\nThe aim of this submission is to find out integrated training courses for prospective adopters and lifelong learning paths for adoptive parents, in order to ensure the well-being of the adoptees, of the entire family unit, and of the local community.\r\nA qualitative research design, which made use of the narrative method and involved six adopters in semi-structured interviews, will be presented from an educational perspective. Giving voice to life stories provides useful elements for a theoretical analysis and for gaining knowledge to offer in training courses and educational support for adoptive parenting.
