Abstract

The figure of Adelaide Coari stands at the crossroads\ r\ n of several lines of research. Her name, between\ r\ n the late 19th century and the mid-20th century, is linked\ r\ n to different contexts: from social Christianity\ r\ n to the troubled season of modernism,\ r\ n from female emancipation to school. \ r\ n Specially studied by investigations on the\ r\ n origins of Christian feminism and for the ties\ r\ n woven with prominent representatives of the cultural and religious world of the 20th century, her commitment\ r\ n is worthy of further study that\ r\ r\ n explore all the areas in which she was the protagonist,\ r\ n valuing the rich personal archive only\ r\ n partially analyzed.
