Abstract
Accountability is regarded as a structural
component of both public and private governance.
It can be generally defined as the ability
of decision makers to provide good reasons
and justifications with regard to the decisions
they have made in respect of the subjects that
are impacted by their decisions. In the more
theoretical reconstructions, accountability has
two main components, respectively related to
justifiability and answerability
