Abstract
Coming into the world is the natural event (in the biological sense), complex and unique. The progressive medicalization of the birth has caused a decline in interest in the experiences that accompanies it. Focusing on the childbirth from the medical point of view, according to a vision centred on the body, means obscuring the existential importance of giving birth and having educational care. The birth comes from a woman’s body and mothers are the original core of the caring relationship, but new fathers are now building new paths to share the care practices, opening up to new horizons of human and social responsibility.
