Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume addresses the topic of university spin-offs by adopting a multidimensional approach. The analysis of the spin-offs from a quantitative point of view made it possible to reconstruct the configuration assumed by the phenomenon in the Italian panorama. Furthermore, the study of three peculiar cases - the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, the Polytechnic of Turin and the University of Messina - made it possible to reconstruct the profiles of the individual structures and to intercept, at least in the Italian academic panorama, strengths and weaknesses of this specific practice aimed at valorising the results of university research.
