Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] That housing is one of the priority issues that Italy will have to face in the coming years, first of all in order to improve the quality of living for the population: our country, on the basis of all the available indicators, shows a worse housing condition than the European Union media, especially in the most densely populated areas (Anci and Urban @ en 2017). In particular, the share of the population experiencing severe housing problems in 2015 reached 9.6%, therefore about twice the European average (4.9%) and with a worrying upward trend from 2013 to the present (Eurostat 2017). Furthermore, the ongoing social, economic and demographic changes will force us to rethink housing models to adapt them to new needs. But what should be the priorities for those dealing with housing policies?
